Keeping Up

No need to keep logging on looking for the latest posts or comments, we can bring them to you.  There are two main ways to keep up-to-date with Moorefield GHS History’s current news.  Each option will suit different people and you are more than welcome to pick any (or both) of them.

Email

Email iconYou can receive an email every time a post has been published on this blog by clicking on the Email Updates link under Keeping Up in the top left corner and subscribing (free).  This service is provided by FeedBurner (a third party) and is being delivered and powered by RSS feed.

You can withdraw from this service at any point.

RSS Feed

For those familiar with RSS and News Aggregators you can follow this blog via our RSS feed.  We have two feed addresses; one for posts and one for comments.  Simply add one or both to your news aggregator by clicking on the Blog Posts or Blog Comments links under Keeping Up in the top left corner.  This will take you through FeedBurner to your aggregator where, after subscribing (free), you will get hits every time something is published.

FeedBurner

Web-based tools available via FeedBurner help bloggers promote their content on the Internet.  FeedBurner (recently acquired by Google) is the leading provider of media distribution and audience engagement services for blogs and RSS feeds. Their services allow publishers who already have a feed to improve their understanding of and relationship with their audience.

Privacy

“Google has a long-standing commitment to protecting the privacy of users’ personal information. FeedBurner users can expect the same high standards of privacy protection following its acquisition. We believe that notice and choice are the foundations of privacy. As such, we are committed to transparency for our end users, and to respecting the choices they make with regards to their privacy preferences. The transition to Google’s privacy policy and the opt-out mechanism we are providing for current FeedBurner users will help us achieve these goals.”  http://www.feedburner.com/google#faq
