50th Anniversary Celebration

On 21 September 2007 Moorefield Girls High School hosted a 50th Anniversary Celebration.  The theme was ‘The times they are a changing’.  With the assistance of students and staff from each decade, we were taken on a journey – Fifty years at Moorefield.

Mosaic 50th Anniversary Mrs Leny Wallace, Principal, highlighted each decade with an outline of who we were and what we were concerned with during those times (our teen years) – teenage culture, technology and education.

These outlines were followed by memories of Moorefield from ex students representing each decade – friends, teachers and special events.

After the formalities and the ‘journey’, visitors enjoyed viewing the many archives on display and catching up with old friends over some light refreshments.

Subsequently, the school was flooded with a very positive response, much appreciation and even some memorabilia from days gone by.  Feel free to comment below with any more feedback about this event?

#6 Online Image Generators – The  mosaic on this post was generated at http://www.bighugelabs.com/flickr/ as part of Week 3 activities.   You can click on the mosaic to print, save or email.  The process was not that straightforward as there were no instructions. After visiting their forum link, my queries were answered by clicking on ‘mosaic’ and reading previous posts.
